Rep. Matt Rosendale revealed a video showing Rep. Jerry Nadler reading the newspaper without wearing a mask, despite Nancy Pelosi’s threat to arrest whoever is seen without a mask in Congress.
“Members and staff will be required to wear masks at all times in the hall of the House. Except that members may remove their masks, temporarily, when recognized, the speaker has the authority to direct the sergeant at arms to remove a member from the floor as a matter of decorum,” she said.
Rosendale reacted in a tweet saying “Looks like mask mandates and threats of arrests don’t apply to senior Democrats”.
The White House began to required staff to wear masks in May after one of Donald Trump’s personal valets and Mike Pence’s press secretary tested positive for the coronavirus. But White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said Wednesday that West Wing employees are no longer required to wear masks, although she said it is required.
